Projectile Problems

Wed. Nov. 2 - Fri. Nov. 4

This week all the classes worked on projectile motion problems. Everyone should be starting to feel better about solving these problems. Remember to keep the following tips in mind...

  1. Any of the kinematic equations of motion can be applied.
  2. The equations must be applied either in the horizontal or vertical direction.
  3. In the horizontal direction, acceleration = 0.
  4. In the vertical direction, acceleration = -9.8 m/s^2.
There are two tutorials on the video tab that show how to solve a horizontal and general projectile problems. Also the written step-by-step solutions are available on the documents tab. There will be a quiz next week on projectile motion, so do what you need to do to be able to solve these problems. Please be in touch with me if you need help.
